Permanent Makeup Aftercare
Aftercare isn’t a suggestion it’s the secret to keeping your permanent makeup looking elite. At Rose Couture Aesthetics, we use only premium pigments and refined techniques, so your results deserve VIP treatment. This aftercare guide is here to protect your investment, lock in your colour, and keep everything looking polished, perfected, and powerful. Ignore it… and we can tell.

Proper Aftercare Steps
For flawless healing and long-lasting results, aftercare must be followed exactly — no shortcuts. On the day of treatment, gently pat (never wipe) the area with a clean cotton round or sterile gauze to remove any lymph fluid. This step is crucial, as allowing lymph to sit on the skin can lead to scab formation and scabs steal pigment. We don’t allow that.
For the first few days, twice daily, lightly dab the area with a clean cotton round dampened with cooled boiled water, then gently pat dry. This keeps the area clean without disrupting healing. Apply your prescribed aftercare only when needed, exactly as instructed more is not better.
Lip Blush–specific care:
While lips are freshly healing, use a straw for all drinks and avoid direct contact with cups, glasses, bottles, or any surfaces. This helps prevent irritation, pigment disruption, and contamination during the most delicate healing phase. It also helps avoide contact with partners (your welcome) lol.
Follow these steps and your PMU will heal smooth, crisp, and beautifully vibrant just as intended. Skip them… and the results will show. 💋✨

Healing Timeline and Considerations
Post-procedure, it's important to be patient and allow your body the time it needs to heal properly. Avoid wetting the treated area, except when cleaning as instructed, until the skin has fully healed. This could take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on your individual healing process. Common side effects such as swelling, redness, itching, and scabbing are normal and should subside with proper care. It's important not to pick at scabs, as this can cause pigment loss and scarring. Our commitment at Rose Couture Aesthetics is to use only the finest quality pigments, ensuring that once healed, your enhancement will look natural and refined.

Activity Restrictions
In the days following your procedure, it's essential to limit certain activities that could interfere with the healing process. Avoid swimming, saunas, and heavy exercise, as excessive moisture and sweat can affect pigment retention and increase the risk of infection. Additionally, refrain from applying makeup over the treated area until it has fully healed, as this can introduce bacteria and cause irritation. By following these guidelines, you'll help ensure that your permanent makeup heals beautifully and lasts longer. At Rose Couture Aesthetics, we pride ourselves on the quality of our results, and adhering to these aftercare instructions will help you achieve the best possible outcome.
